A twist on hummus. This bruschetta hummus is the perfect people pleasing recipe especially among our friendly vegetarians.
1 Can Garbanzo Beans (chickpeas), drained and rinsed
4 Tablespoons Bruschetta (see Recipe, Appetizers), drained of liquid
1 Tablespoon Bruschetta Juice
1/8 Teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
1/4 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Clove Garlic, minced
2 Leaves Basil, chopped
1. Place drained garbanzo beans in food processor.
2. Add all ingredients.
3. Process for approximately 5 minutes. stopping intermittently to scrape down the sides with a stiff spatula.
5. Serve cold or at room temperature, with heated sliced pita bread.
7. To heat pita bread brush on softened butter with a drizzle of olive oil for coating. Heat at 450 degrees approximately 3-5 minutes.
